Since the mid-eighties, companies have been developing FoxPro and Visual FoxPro application.  FoxPro was chosen then because it offered a robust programming language and a remarkable data access speed.  In twenty years, a lot has changed.  Older FoxPro applications do not run in XP, Vista or Windows 7.   Many current applications can not access USB printers and other network devices.  There are also memory and display issues with some of the older FoxPro versions. 

 

The problem of aging applications gives you basically two choices:  throw away your original investment and design a new system from scratch; or migrate your old application and save money. 

 

Our migration process retains the business logic code of your application.  We also retain as much of your other code as possible.  How much is kept depends on the version of FoxPro that your application was written in and how it was written.

 

After we perform an in-depth analysis of your application, we will either build a new application using our application framework and your business logic code; or we make the necessary changes in your current application to enable it to be compiled in the current version of Visual FoxPro.   If you so desire, we can also migrate your application to a different platform, such as C++.

 

We normally use our robust application framework as the shell for a migrated application.   This allows us to focus on just the business logic of your old application.
